Q: What is THE BOOT?
A: THE BOOT is the ultimate workout. It is a boot camp style workout developed
to bring all the best elements of several different training styles together
into one fun-filled, effective workout.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: So glad you asked.... single sessions are $10 each, or you can ENLIST
which gives you unlimited access to every class available, up to 60 per month!!
There are two enlistments, a six month and a three month. The enlistments will
be set up on an auto pay system: $100 per month for the six month and $125 per
month for the three month. You will be charged on the same of each day.
Q: Where are classes held?
A: THE BOOT is conducted at several parks throughout Carlsbad. Click
here to see the times and locations of THE BOOT.
Q: What can I expect?
A: Wouldn’t you like to know… I can promise you to
expect a fun, hard workout. You can expect support, camaraderie, and results.
Q: Do I need to bring anything to the class?
A: You will need a large towel or yoga mat, a water and willingness to
work. That’s it. A smile always helps, but is not necessary.
Q: Who is THE BOOT for?
A: It is for you. Seriously. No matter what fitness level you are at,
we will work with you wherever you are, so you can get the ultimate workout just
right for you.
Q: What kind of results can I expect from THE
BOOT?
A: Amazing results. In the first six weeks some average results are:
- Loss of 3-10% of body fat
- Loss of 4-15 pounds
- Increased strength
- Increase in endurance and stamina
- Improved cardiovascular health
- Improved
flexibility
- A leaner, toned body
- More energy and self confidence
- Lower stress
levels
Q: Will I experience soreness after THE BOOT?
A: The majority of people will feel some soreness for a couple days after
their session. However, the soreness you experience after that will usually be
slight to moderate. It's one of the ways your body shows how you are improving.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: We get wet.
Q: What happens when I sign up?
A: You will receive an e-mail giving you all the information you will
need. Please read the e-mail carefully. If you don't know the secret handshake,
you ain't gettin' in the club!!
Q: How many sessions are offered per month?
Where and when are they?
A: There are up to 60 sessions offered per month, all currently taking
place in Carlsbad. Sessions are one hour in length, Monday-Friday from 5:30-6:30
a.m. at Aviara Oaks Elementary School and 8:45-9:45 a.m. at Poinsettia Community
Park and 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Stagecoach Community Park and Saturdays 8:00-9:00
a.m. at Stagecoach Community Park. Click on our schedule
page for more details
and to view maps.
Q: How can I get THE BOOT in my neighborhood?
A: If you are interested in having THE BOOT near you, please fill out our interest
list and name the area(s) you would like to see THE BOOT.
Q: Is there a refund policy?
A: You can change your schedule online up to two hours before the class
starts. After that time, you cannot change your schedule, and will not be given
a credit. If you change your schedule before the two hour time limit, you can
re-schedule for any other class of your choice. There are no cash refunds. Do
not buy a session unless you in fact want to use a session!
Q: What if class is cancelled?
A: We make every effort to not cancel classes, but sometimes these things
are unavoidable. If this should happen, you will receive an e-mail (make sure
you use your correct e-mail address when you create your profile) and a phone
call IF YOU WERE REGISTERED FOR A CLASS THAT WAS CANCELLED. If you are not enlisted,
you will receive a credit for the cancelled classes to your account. If you are
enlisted, you will not receive a credit unless classes are cancelled for more
than three days in the month. In this case, your auto payment for the following
month will be delayed for the number of days that were cancelled. For example,
if your auto pay is set up for the 1st of each month and class was cancelled
for four days in the month, your auto pay would switch to the 5th of the month.
Q: How do I pay for my sessions?
A: All class purchases and scheduling are done online with a credit or debit
card. You can purchase single sessions or you can enlist. The choice is yours.
Please register for a class before attending! If you want to audit a class go
to a comparative sociology class at college.
Q: What should I eat?
A: Oh the elephant in the room, huh? Listen, you can be sure that fitness cannot
trump fatness. What does that mean? You can undo your hard work (at least in
terms of fat loss) very quickly with just a few bad food choices. The Boot recommends
you go to ZoneDiet.com and LEARN! Do not just follow a meal plan for a few weeks
and then wonder why the weight came back. You need to learn about nourishing
your body, and that website is a fantastic place to learn. Any recruit that wants
to put the principles from that website into practice will find help from The
Boot.
